As abrasive as political diatribes can be, they can also be useful tools of expression for leveraging political force. Although I generally don't to listen to such retaliatory shame facing too much, a rare exception to this rule are the now notorious political slams of Alex Jones. In my opinion, Jones' fiery rhetoric against the ruling elite commands attention and makes our political and ethical senses more alert, expanding our sense of duty. On top of this, his use of the megaphone is unparalleled, not to mention funny. What surprises me, however, in this last election is that Jones, usually an apolitical, came out in favor of Trump, a person who doesn't appear to share much in common with Jones' anti-capitalist ethos. Apparently Jones favors Trump for one sole reason--because Trump is painting himself as an anti-globalist. For years, Jones has been stumping to eradicate the establishment of a single world government, which he believes is imminent if we leave things to the presiding global elite. This global elite, Jones believes, is intent on forming close economic ties across borders in a quest to accomplish a subtle and bureaucratic world takeover. All very interesting stuff that requires our attention...I suppose only time will tell if Trump becomes more than just an average corporate elite, catering to lobbyists.
